Life Lab Science Program offers
a variety of workshops for educators on developing
school gardens for learning. These workshops include
information on setting up school composting and recycling
programs and connecting these programs to academic
standards. Workshops are held at the two-acre Life
Lab Garden Classroom demonstration site on the UCSC
campus. Schools can also contract with Life Lab to
provide in-services for the entire staff at a school
site. Life Lab has developed a variety of curricula
for connecting school gardens and resource conservation
to the classroom.
